LyleAnywhere: Hyflex Classroom
Dr. Christina Churchill's latest innovation involves the implementation of the HyFlex room in six classrooms, fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. This model stands as a pinnacle of educational adaptability, offering flexibility, accessibility, and learner control. It provides students with the option to participate in classes in-person, online, or through a HyFlex format. The classroom design is tailored to accommodate diverse, non-traditional, and underrepresented students, equipping them for the flexible work environments they will encounter after graduation. Currently, over 80% of the SMU Lyle graduate classes, impacting over 300 students, are delivered using this new modality, with an increasing preference for this learning format among students.
